Food Travel and etc.

Lately I have been watching two channels very extensively TLC (Formerly Discovery - Travel and Living) and NDTV good times. With some of the ultimate shows I have ever seen, these two channels just rock. Once you hook onto these channels there is no looking back. On TLC, there is one show called "Man Vs. food" (Title based on the popular show "Man Vs. Wild" on Discovery channel. That is altogether a different story, I will post about it in some other post). The theme is based on finding and eating bizarre food across glob. In one of the episodes, the anchor has to take up a challenge to eat a super spicy burger topped with a sauce made up of "Ghost Chile" certified as hottest Chile in the world. The challenge was so tough that only 3 people out of 100 were able to complete the it. Our hero (Anchor - Richman) takes up the challenge. On his first bite, he gets drenched into the sweat, tears from eyes and burns in throat. The burger is so hot that the anchor uses latex gloves to prevent spice burns (beat that !) After a hard fight of over 30 minutes he finishes the burger and becomes a proud member of "Wall of fame" of the restaurant. Picture 1. (Eating the burger).

The second show (which is best of them) is "Highway on my Plate", completely and truly Indian show aired on "NDTV Good Times". Two anchors Mayur and Rocky are as witty and funny as they could travel across India and eat at as exquisite places as Taj to as shabby place as a road side "Thela" giving the feedback of the places/ people/ food they come across. Add to it the funny "Food Quote" they add at the end of the show and a fun filled half hour entertainment is guaranteed. This has become one of the most entertaining show on NDTV good times and already has a big fan following (Check it on the website). Check out second pic. which is a poster these guys paste on every hotel they visit. I cant believe these guys are getting paid to go to all these places and EAT !!! amazing job I must say.

Till then a YUMMY goodbye :)

Perseverance

I have been sitting on my visa approval for last one month and it seems to be moving at snails pace.
Sometimes (or infact many a times now..) I feel that I am working in a government organization rather than a so called CMM level 5 comapany.
Such is the irony of the situation that the processing time for visa is more in my organization than that in consulate... real test of patience and perseverance.
Today I came to office hoping to see an update mail from immigration department in my inbox. How fool I was to not understand that the timing of immigration department doesnt follow standard organization timings... they think themselves as a separate entity.. voila.
While my petition makes rounds in my company I ontinue to wait... I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams.

"Sometimes we love with nothing more than hope. Sometimes we cry with everything except tears. In the end that's all there is - love and its duty, sorrow and its truth. In the end that's all we have - to hold on tight until the dawn"

New look

I am back..

Last few days have been an awaking for me and I want to do all those things which I have missed for whatever reasons .... so, this is one more thing off my bucket list :-)

I hope I continue the trend.

One of the ironies of courage and why we prize it so highly, is that we find it easier to be brave for somone else than we do for ourselves alone

Signing off
